The Carleton Railway will be celebrating the "grand opening" of the newly expanded layout on Friday evening and on Saturday, October 4 and 5. Model Railroad fans are invited to see what has been accomplished since the layout room was expanded in 2017 and an additional 160 feet of main line was added to the railway. Come on Friday evening (6:30 - 8:30 p.m.) or on Saturday (10 a.m. - 5 p.m.) to tour the layout, to learn about shipping potatoes by rail in the 1960s, or to participate in an operating session on Saturday afternoon. More details will be posted by mid-September.
This recent photo shows the west end of the small rural community of Rosedale,
part of a new section of the layout.

Really enjoyed the ops session 5 Oct. Many thanks. In your new extension, you have 2 windows. The one on the right as you enter which opens like a gate looks like a solution to a basement window problem I have. Could you give me the manufacturer name and maybe design/order number?
